This position is based at the Vancouver Wharves terminal located in North Vancouver, B.C and reports to the Supervisor, Operations Engineering in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit (NBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Division. The Vancouver Wharves terminal handles bulk cargo including mineral concentrates, diesel, sulphur, and grain products on behalf of customers. </p><p> </p><p>NBU is involved in the Fractionation, Terminaling & Storage, and Logistics and Distribution of specification natural gas liquids throughout north America. Natural Gas Liquids are components of natural gas classified by weight and number of carbon atoms – Methane (C1), Ethane (C2), Propane (C3) Butane (C4) and Condensate (mixture of C5+). Fractionation involves separating the different products in an NGL mix out into Ethane, Propane and Butane.</p><p> </p><p>The Project Engineer will be responsible for a portfolio of civil/structural and/or mechanical sustaining capital projects from inception to commissioning, including project management, overseeing project definition, planning, field execution, and close out of projects. The portfolio focuses on improving existing assets, extending their service life, and implementing production and operational efficiencies. The initial end-of-contract date is Dec 31, 2024, with the possibility of extension. This position reports to the Manager, Asset Lifecycle Management. The Reliability Specialist, Consultant will execute and provide support to general reliability initiatives, but specifically to identify and drive those opportunities through implementation to deliver value to operations, covering aspects such as but not limited to maintenance optimization, bad actor resolution, availability/reliability performance, maintainability, and spare parts strategies.</p><p><br>We’re looking for a seasoned oil and gas equipment expert that has exceptional hands-on technical knowledge with the equipment classes (particularly rotating equipment) that are common to midstream oil and gas and processing, has reliability experience, and crucially, knows how to execute initiatives.
